Office of Student Life

Buckeye Nation Week

Programs and Events

One of the most dynamic and exciting aspects of life outside the classroom at Ohio State is the culture of extraordinary campus events!

Many of these events are associated directly with the Office of Student Life's Student Activities department, in partnership with the Ohio Union Activities Board. Others, like the Student Activity Fee-funded Signature Events and programs planned by registered student organizations, are planned by students and staff from all over campus.

Buckeye Nation hosts Rivalry Week in the Autumn semester leading up to the football game against Michigan, and Founders' Week in the Spring semester leading up to the celebration of The Ohio State University's founding date. This year's Buckeye Nation Founders' Week is March 17-24, 2024.

Signature Events

Throughout the year, the Student Activities team will plan and host some of Ohio State's largest and most well-known campus events. These "Signature Events" are among those that are the most traditional and well-attended events at the university. These programs enhance social and community engagement while broadening the Ohio State experience for all students. Signature Events include:

  • Homecoming Parade
  • African Night
  • The Bellwether Improv Comedy Festival
  • Thanksgiving Dinner
